Whereas security measures remain necessary in addressing the threat of violent extremism, a whole-of-government and a whole-of-society approach is urgently required if we must address the drivers of violent extremism in our society. xIt is not hard to see why collaboration is crucial to any modern-day effort to fight violent extremism and terrorism. xUnder the current policy framework, states are encouraged to appoint State P/CVE Coordinators to deliver P/CVE State Action Plans. It is expected that the Policy Framework and National Action Plan for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism will be reviewed every three years.
